About Paul

Solo acoustic / classical guitarist. Performed at over 1000 weddings and events across the UK. Make your special day even more memorable
Guitarist
Market Harborough
Public liability insurance of £5 million

Born in London and having first picked up the guitar at the age of 8, I started learning classical guitar at secondary school. At 14 I was awarded a place at the Junior Royal College of Music where my studies really began. Since then I have performed at various venues around Europe and have participated in master classes with the Assad Brothers, the Eden Stell Duo & John Williams. I have also performed in stage shows, recent examples being “Happy Days” and “Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat”. I have a repertoire ranging from Bach to the Beatles spanning centuries of musical influences from all corners of the globe. I have participated at well over 1000 events across the UK, all with 100% client delight (as you will see from my reviews),

My wife and I were recommended Paul by a colleague who had him play at their wedding and he didn’t disappoint! We booked Paul for the entire day of our wedding at Leez Priory in Essex. From the moment we booked him he stayed in touch and we had a lovely call before the big day to discuss our timings and what music we wanted him to play for our ceremony and throughout the day in general. Paul is very friendly and polite. He is also very knowledgeable and professional. His guitar skills are world class and he really did make an amazing atmosphere for our wedding. There is something about classical guitar and sunny weather outdoors that go so well together! Paul also played during our wedding breakfast, which created a perfect ambience, and our guests absolutely loved it. As well as playing amazing classical guitar pieces he also played some more modern hits, lovely film scores and even learned the Jurassic Park theme tune for me, which we loved. The Disney songs also when down very well, particularly with my wife! We give Paul a 10/10 and would highly recommend him! Thanks so much for making our day, Paul.

Paul is lovely and an amazing guitarist he played at out wedding on 23rd July 2023. He was fantastic the music really set the mood it was beautiful and romantic. I had Elvis - Can't Help Falling in Love as my wedding entrance music and it went down so well. He played all the way through our wedding breakfast too, I thought we only had him till the entrance of our breakfast so it was so nice having him continue to play his beautiful music. Thank you so much Paul I recommend you highly ❤️

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I make it personal for them by performing pieces that are special for them. I am relaxed to work with and very professional in my approach to every performance.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed at so many venues across the UK, it's had to narrow it down. I would say the standout ones were: Kew Gardens The Natural History Museum Blenheim Palace The Dorchester Hotel

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I love old rock music like The Who and The Stones, however, from the classical side it was John Williams playing Cavatina in the movie the Deer Hunter; that was when I knew I wanted to be a guitarist. Funnily enough, when I studied at the Royal College of Music, he was a visiting professor of guitar; so it just shows you what can happen!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I have never done anything like Glastonbury or other festival type events: my music lends itself more to private and corporate functions. Having said that, I have done a few gigs (private dinners) for known people (which I can tell you about verbally), however, this is a tricky one to answer in text as most of the high profile clients want NDA's signed.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event, just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and I actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via my PA after the final set until the venue closes, I can provide this for an additional £500.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up about 1 hour before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up I can (if you wish), provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for the live performance!

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set list is crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests have an amazing and memorable time. However, I'm definitely happy to chat through and make sure I find what works for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own instrument to play acoustically.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in my set list, there may still be a chance I already know it. If there is a special song you'd like me to perform, then I am happy to do this at no extra charge.
